We started the charity project “Urgently Needed Food for the Social Market in Vöcklabruck” in September 2020. Since then, we delivered basic foodstuffs 41 times. Between September 2020 to November 2024 approximate quantities included: 500 liters of vinegar, 1500 liters of cooking oil, 500 kg of butter, 1300 kg of flour, 1600 kg of pasta, and 1500 kg of rice. In addition, onions, potatoes, carrots, apples, salt, beans, lentils, packet soups and more were delivered.
When making purchases, we follow the wish list that is sent to us monthly by the Korb team. Products that are used regularly are, for example: oil, rice, pasta, flour, butter, potatoes, carrots, onions, apples.
The Korb manager says: “Your deliveries of goods are a great help and a real support for us, because we can always coordinate with you about what is missing at the moment.”
The Korb team still has fond memories of a December charity campaign, which was held under the motto “put a smile on people’s faces”. About 60 single mothers, who were selected by the basket leader as particularly worthy of support, received a surprise package with food from us volunteers on site.
